The real challenge began with a single question: how do we build a center with a high standard of service, for medical staff and for patients and their companions alike, within a healthcare landscape that isn't necessarily built for that? Creating an advanced institution that could compete with centers outside Iraq was never going to be easy, and it has remained our objective ever since.
Skilled medical expertise is one of the foundations this place was built on, but on its own, it isn't the whole picture, just as advanced equipment alone isn't enough if the patient doesn't feel reassured at every step. With that in mind, we chose the finest manufacturers in the world for every device in the center, from diagnostic examinations to the integrated laboratory, adopted a single-use policy for every surgical instrument with every patient, and built our operating theatres to Medik Hospital Design's German standards. And just as we cared about the precision of our tools and technology, we made sure the space itself was ready to receive patients and their companions at any hour, extending all the way to following up with the patient even after their procedure is complete.
